Job Details:

Under the direct supervision of the RN the incumbent administers care based upon his/her training and experience to designated patients. The position exists to assist the registered nurse in provision of care to patients.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Requires that the nursing student be actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program accredited through NLN or CCNE;
Requires completion of at least one semester of clinicals;
Requires basic knowledge of procedures for performing assigned functions;
Requires knowledge to observe and assist in the assessment of patient's condition;
Requires ability to detect and report obvious and/or dangerous changes in patient's condition;
Requires general awareness and understanding of legal implication of patient care activities.
